At United Preschool Center, we believe in hands-on learning. We provide a creative learning environment. Through child initiated play based centers, teachers will engage with each student individually each day as they explore and learn. We use Montessori methods in our learning centers. Students will develop autonomy by using self-help skills and taking personal responsibility in their learning. Our learning centers are designed with regard to what is known about how young children learn:
At United Preschool Center, we foster learning in literacy, math, art, science, geography, and social skills. We do this through our learning centers, large group circle time, music time, reading time, snack time, and one on one teacher time.
We also use the "Learning Without Tears" Curriculum. Our teachers believe in meeting children where they are at and giving them a positive experience to grow into a confident learner. We are dedicated to helping students develop confidence, creativity, and cooperation. Through our consistent teaching methods, our preschool students will feel safe and successful in the classroom. Our teachers are warm and nurturing and embrace each child’s unique learning styles. And last but not least... We love getting a little messy with the children while they are in our classrooms! We believe learning is FUN!
Parents may register for optional dance or tumbling classes that are held directly after the academic class time! Parents love having their child participate in academic preschool and extra curricular classes all in one place! These extra classes foster additional creativity, large motor skills, self expression, strength, flexibility, coordination, rhythm and confidence.
Parent Communication:
We understand that clear communication with parents is important! Parents will receive a monthly newsletter via email. These newsletters will include our monthly topics and keep parents in the loop. We provide an online calendar for the entire year prior to our school year starting.
