Classroom Ratio:

Health and Safety:
* Our teachers all have a Back Ground Check completed and are CPR certified.
* We are thorough in cleaning our class rooms and restrooms for each class.
* Students must miss school when sick. Teachers will save missed papers for student to do at home.
Class Field Trips:
* Students will attend two field trips during the school year. Students will wear their bright school t-shirt! One parent must attend with their preschooler.
Birthdays:
* We celebrate birthdays! If a child has a summer birthday, we will celebrate on their half birthday. Students may bring 12 store bought items to class when we celebrate their birthday, however this is optional.
Potty Training / Restroom Policies:
* We encourage students to be as independent as possible at school. Students should be potty trained by the time school begins in August. If the student is very close to completing their potty training, a pull up may be worn to school.
* All parents will be asked to provide an extra change of clothes to keep at the school in case of a potty accident or if a child gets too messy in class.
* If a potty accident occurs, teachers will help the child change their clothing. The wet clothing will be sent home in a bag with a note.
* If a student has a bowl movement accident, parents will be called to help the child clean up.
* Parents are encouraged to have students practicing proper wiping at home. Students should wear clothing that is easy to pull up and down.
* If a student needs help in the restroom, our teacher will help the child with the door cracked open.
Drop Off and Pick Up:
* The parking lot will be busy during drop off and pick up times. We want your child to be safe! Please plan to walk your child to their classroom door at the drop off time, and pick your student up from the classroom door for pick up time.
* Parents should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to drop off and pick up time.
* If someone other than the parent will be picking the child up, please let the front desk staff and teacher know.
* We will invite parents in the class room a couple of times a year and will ask for parent participation at our field trips! During regular class time, parents are asked to drop off their child for school each day. This helps the child develop independence, learn that parents come back, and help minimize distraction for optimal learning.
* Preschool children may cry from time to time during drop off. Please understand that this is normal and we are fully capable to handle this! We will give further information at our "Back to School Night" on how to best handle this!
Behavior:
* We believe in providing clear expectations for these little children. We believe that consistency and positive reinforcement helps promote positive behavior. If a child has a behavior problem, we will focus on re-directing the child. We use positive words and encourage classroom safety. If the behavior problem persists, we will involve parents if needed.
